Our commitment
MATT is built to work for every candidate. We aim for conformance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA, and we treat accessibility as a discipline rather than a checklist. Where we fall short, we fix it.
What we do
- Semantic HTML so screen readers can navigate the structure.
- Visible focus rings on every interactive element.
- Color contrast ratios that meet WCAG 2.1 AA on body text and interactive controls.
- Keyboard navigation across the entire surface, including the assessment chat and the job-detail modal.
- ARIA labels on icon-only controls and on the cookie acknowledgement.
- Closed captions and transcripts on any video Matt records for the platform.
- Minimum touch target sizes of 44 by 44 pixels on every tappable element.
- Mobile-first layout with no horizontal overflow.
- The conversational AI assessment, which lets candidates respond at their own pace and length, with no time limit.
What we are working on
Voice-only intake (for users who prefer not to type) and full screen-reader walk-throughs of the dashboard's data tables are on the near-term roadmap. We will update this page as those land.
Third-party content
Job listings come from the Adzuna API. We do not control the accessibility of the original employer postings on third-party sites. When you ask Matt to facilitate an application, he handles the application process for you and you do not need to interact with the source site.
Reporting an accessibility issue
If you encounter an accessibility barrier on MATT, please tell us. Email matt@metropulos.co or call (470) 841-3830. Include the page you were on, the assistive technology you were using if any, and a brief description of what didn't work. We respond within two business days and prioritize accessibility fixes.
